In St Ives

FOUR lovely beaches ... a fabulous coastal footpath ... a lovely little higgledy piggledy town ... plus

The St Ives Tate Gallery On the site of the old gasworks (!) on Porthmeor beach. The building is a dramatic curved shape and has fabulous views of the surf beach. The art isn't to everyone's taste but you can visit the top floor tearoom without paying to enter the gallery - great views and nice food. Link

Barbara Hepworth's house and sculpture garden Well worth a visit - and one ticket covers this and the Tate. A peaceful garden dotted with sculpture. Link

The St Ives museum - just above Porthgwidden beach, quirky and entertaining. Link

And easy access by car bus or train to ...

Lands End
St Michael's Mount
The Eden Project
The village of Mousehole
The Minack openair theatre on the cliffs
Seal sanctuary at Gweek near Helston

and everything else that Cornwall has to offer.
